  • A good friend has passed away

This morning we got the sad news from India that a dear sister and a good friend had gone to be with the Lord. I was very sad when I heard it, my eyes was filled with tears and I was weeping. I did not know that she was ill so it was unexpected. She was not old, a few years younger than me.

I met Puspha the first time I went to India together with my husband, about 15 years ago. She and her husband came from Hindu background and were the first believers in the church. At that time she was quite shy and her self esteem was rather low. I remember I got a word from the Lord to encourage her. She brought it to my memory some years later how the word had been fulfilled in her life.

I have met Puspha every time we have been to India and I have got to know her and love her more and more. I have really felt knitted in my heart to her. She does not know much English and I am not clever in Hindi, but we have used the few words and sentences we can and one sentence she always proclaimed: God is good, she said with a big smile and pointed towards heaven. Language is no hinder for love and with smile and big hugs we could express what we felt. I had the joy to see her growth and progress in the Lord. She became an eager, faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Many people came to believe in Jesus and accepted His Lordship because of Puspha`life and testimony. She was a bold witness for Jesus and a prayerful lady. She was a blessing for the church, and she very often brought a word from the Bible or a prophecy when the believers were together. She was a good mother and a loved grandmother. I know they will all miss her and I am praying for them.

Puspha got some illness and should go through some treatment but died last night.

I am thanking God for Puspha, thanking God for her great memory, how dear and precious she was to me. I saw how God,`s grace worked into her life. She was a beautiful rose in the garden of God.

But now she is shining much brighter, she is free from pains and trouble, she has gone to a better place to be with the Lord. Last week another friend from India died together with  her husband and little daughter, in a tragic accident. I also knew and loved this sister very much.

The comfort is that we will meet again. Sometimes sad things happens and we do not understand, but my testimony is clear. God is a good God!

  • The dawn is heralding a new day

The dream is like the dawn of light in the morning heralding a new day. The new day has already arrived, but it is still only morning.  The new bright day of full light is coming! I dream of a new earth, a new world order, a new reality of reconciliation and peace. I dream of a new kingdom, a kingdom that is different from those subduing kingdoms ruling in the world today. This kingdom is near and is coming. Therefore my dream is both reality and longing for something more at the same time. I am trying to put words to the dream in words describing a real life lived in hope and vision of seeing it lived out in constant greater measure.

I dream, I long, I plead and pray. I work to realize the dreams given me by God in the assurance that all of God’s good dreams will be fulfilled in the right time.

  • Comments

The opportunity to comment a blog is a must. I am very happy with the ability to interactiveness with my friends and visitors to my blog. Recently I have had several comments on an entry I posted a long time ago. I find that interesting. When we leave a story on a blog or on Internet it seems to live its own life and seems to be able to reach the far corners of the world. It is a fascinating thing to be able to dialog with people from all over the world. I love comments, and I love serious comments especially. I find it very meaningful to be able to connect with people I have never met before. I thank God for the ability to leave comments on my blog!

Img_0523 We have just been celebrating Whitsunday or the Pentecost weekend. Solveig and I have been to Stavanger district to celebrate her sister’s 60th Anniversary. Then we have been spending time at the house in the forest. Today we have had a wonderful walk to the highest mountain to in the area, Selivarden. It is only 395 meters high. We walked on a long ridge to the very top and the view was excellent.

  • Quotes of Gandhi 20

I will far rather see the race of man extinct than that we should become less than beasts by making the noblest of God’s creation, woman, the object of our lust.

  • Sad news

I have had some very bad news this week. Life is not always easy. Bad things are even happening to good people. The good thing is though, bad times don’t last but good people do! Tough times will come to an end, but tough people will overcome!

  • Dream – vision – longing

Where I am using the word dream, others would rather speak of vision or longing. When I use the word dream, this word contains hope, vision and longing. My dream is something I have seen in the Spirit that God will do and which I have been created to be a part of. Therefore my dream is not a castle in the air, an imaginative picture, but the real future coming towards me. My dream is not an unrealistic imagination about a distant goal, but rather a description of something I have already tasted and experienced as a budding seed of growing reality. What I have seen opens my eyes to coming realities. I have experienced the reality in that which I am dreaming about. That is why I am dreaming of something more!

  • Healing Retreat brought healing

Every expectation I had for the healing retreat I attended today was met. We had a wonderful time of fellowship with the Lord and with one another. We had many prophetic words from God, and words of knowledge. One leader was instantly healed when he responded to a word of knowledge. Others became better. The best time we had in prayer in the very presence of God. I am so thankful to the Lord for his goodness towards us today. I am so thankful to my brothers for a wonderful time together in the Word. I am also very thankful to my wife and her helpers who prepared delicious food for us. The meals we shared were a rich blessing to us in many ways.

  • Healing Retreat

Today I am meeting with about 20 pastors and leaders at Gullbotn for a healing retreat. We will spend time in the Word. We will pray together and share insight with one another. We will dialog about healing and help each other to take steps to see the power of God released in a far greater dimension that we have seen so far in our life and ministry.

It is always a great joy to meet with brothers and I am looking forward to a wonderful time together in the presence of God. When brothers dwell together in unity the fresh anointing will flow and refreshing dew from heaven will fall upon us!
