The statement we are looking at, Covenant alongside vision is the key to arrive at our purpose, can only be properly understood when the Triune God is our frame of reference.
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen. (Romans 11:36)
• All things come from God. We need no additional principles beyond God in order to explain the existence of the universe. As the image we see in a mirror can be said to be a representation of the original, we can say that all things created by God represent him in a way and reflect some of his divine nature.
• All things exist through God. The entire universe, every created being, is sustained through his life-giving power. In other words, we all exist through him only and have no power of life in our selves.
• All things are intended to bring glory to God. All things find the ultimate intention and purpose of existence in God only.
The three prepositions from, through, and to will help us to find the right frame of reference. First, we need to start with God, and then we will see how all things fall into place when we covenant together to fulfil the eternal purpose of God, which is our purpose.

Covenant and vision
We have just had an international gathering of an apostolic team working together in many parts of the world. We had a most wonderful time in prayer, fellowship and dialog. I was asked to prepare a paper on, "Covenant along vision is the key to arrive at our purpose." I will share some of it on my blog in the coming days.
When I worked on the paper I fist asked the question: Can the vision of God really be achieved without walking in covenant? And I answered immediately and strongly: NO! People may arrive at their goal independently from God or fellow men. People may even be able to achieve their own vision at the expense of others. People may become great in this world, but if they fail to live in covenant, eventually everything they have built will collapse. -
Extension and protection
The work on my new room that I am adding to the house in the forest is progressing day by day. The roof is on and so the inside is dry in the rainy weather we have had recently. As the carpenters are working on the new study I am working on extending the wooden terrace. The place is being enlarged and beautified all the time.
This morning I was reading the Prophet Isaiah and this sentence touched my heart: "If you want me to protect you, learn to believe what I say." (Isaiah 7:9 NLT) When we believe and obey what God says to us, our lives will be enlarged and we will enjoy his protection. As I meditate on this word I sense God speaking to me and refreshing me in my spirit. God is good. -
Extension in progress
Last week the extension work went on all week despite some bad weather. The carpenters helping me are doing a good work and it is progressing well. Unfortunately I have not been able to be on-line as much as I wanted. Please tolerate some infrequency in new post to my blog during this time. I am so happy with my new writing room. When it is finished and I have got my broadband installed everything will be better. -
Extension report
Today there has been some progress in the work on the house in the forest. I am having a working holiday and is working from morning to evening. The carpenters have laid the beams for the floor today. Since I have had trees cut down and sawed through a friend that had just bought a saw for cutting building material, the material is not all according to the exact measurement. This is giving the carpenters extra work in getting everything straight and level.

Building an extension
I am having two weeks holiday building an extension on my house in the forest. The weather is most excellent but a bit too warm! I am working from early morning to late evening and I love it. Some carpenters are helping me during day time. I have not had any internet connection earlier at the house in the forest, but today I am able to connect through my mobile phone. I am just sending a short post today, but plan to give an update with some pictures tomorrow.

Ordaining elders
This weekend I had the joy of taking part in ordaining elders in the emerging church at Stord, an island south of Bergen. This covenant community has been brought together by the ministry of Jan Sigve Hystad. On Saturday he and Jarle Vae were ordained elders of this covenant community.
It was a great time of celebration and a big meal as the people of God came together for this great event. The ordination ceremony was led by Terje Dahle in a wonderful way. Elders from the churches in the area also took part in laying on of hands. The Lord spoke to the new elders and the entire church trough prophetic words.
The local believers were excited over what was taking place. They brought flowers and many words of thanksgiving and appreciation. It was indeed a joyful time giving God the glory for what he had done.
