  • A short landing in Norway

As we left the All Nations Church in Cardiff on sunday, we were very pleased after a good time with the people of God. We were ready to go home but our flight was delayed, first forty minutes, then one hour and in the end two and a half hour! Naturally we lost our connection to Bergen! We were stranded in Amsterdam! We rushed from one transfer desk to another, all being closed, – except one. There we had more than hundred people before us this long and seemingly endless line of people trying to get a new connection!
At last we were put in the Dorinth Hotel. Their dinner buffet was very poor, but the breakfast buffet in the morning was really good! The hotel itself was very nice but it is not like being home!
Since we arrived home at lunch time Monday it has been very busy. First I had time with the Pastoral Network of Bergen. Then I met with some young people. Then I had new gatherings with the pastors and several prayer meetings. I was able to finish two articles for our magazine, as well as withdrawing some dollars from the bank for our trip to India.
Tomorrow we leave for India. We will be away five weeks. Hopefully I will be able to connect to my blog to tell what is going on.

  • Keri Jones is 60 years today!

Today we have had to privilege to celebrate Keri Jones’ 60th birthday.
Here are the words I wrote and read for him today:

    Dear Keri! You are:
    – a true covenant friend
    – a faithful encourager
    – a brave proclaimer of the words of faith
    – a generous giver meeting needs
    – a caring person with a healing touch
    – a speaker of kind words
    – a vision-maker and star-thrower – making people alive and dreaming
    – a wonderful motivator and communicator – connecting people to the divine purpose
Keri, we love you and appreciate you, – more than words can say!

  • The covenant community

Yesterday I had the honour of sharing a little bit on the covenant community at the International Leading Ministries and elders & wives conference in Cardiff.

  • Strategic planning

Today I have been together with apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers at a gathering of strategic planning at All Nations Centre, Cardiff. It has been a most profitable time in the presence of God. The gathering was wonderfully led by Keri Jones and we had a good time of sharing with one another what the Lord had put on our heart to do and places to go. We were even able to plan for new international gatherings to take place to the end of 2006. That is a great achievement by busy people with a lot on and with heavy responsibility on their shoulders. I have already started to look forward to our next gathering. There is a tremendous wisdom accumulated among these precious servants of God. It is a great honour to be with them and an enormous privilege to serve along side them. Together we will serve the purpose of God as long as we live, and provide a foundation for coming generation to build on!

  • Conference in Wales

Today Solveig and I are going to Wales. We will attend a “Ministry Without Borders” conference in Cardiff, the capital of Wales, the land of the dragons. Hopefully I will be able to connect to internet to continue my blogging as we stay there one full week. I am looking forward to fellowshipping with my friends and listening to Biblical and Spirit-filled teaching.

  • Elders’ conference

Last night we had the first gathering at the elders’ conference at Gullbotn, with more than one hundred attendants. We had a most wonderful time as we entered into the presence of God in praise and worship. These times are precious times!
Fellowshipping and eating together are precious times too. There is something refreshing to meet friends, exchange the normal greetings, updating each other on our situations, and just being together!
We have a lot of ground we like to cover in our time together, but the most precious thing is the togetherness in the purpose of God. When I hear the sound of people talking and laughing, when I see the smiles and the radiant eyes of people hugging, I am filled with thankfulness. God has been so good to us! There is peace and joy in the house. There is a refreshing healing in our togetherness.

  • Spending time with students

The last weeks have been kind of hectic. I have probably not had the right priority in what I have chosen to involve myself in. Among other things my blogging activities have suffered.

  • Studying the Bible

I have been teaching every morning this week at the Bible School. My subject has been how to understand and study the Bible. We have had a very good time together. Today we have taken a Bible study together. I have tried to show the students how to conduct and organise a topical Bible study. Today was a day of action. We put the teaching into practice. It was fun to look at the Bible verses together and discover the deeper meaning and practical application as we were dialoguing in the class. It seemed like all the students enjoyed what we were doing, I certainly did!

  • A gathering of prophetic young people

Tonight I had the joy of being with a group of prophetic young people talking about what it means to live prophetically in our culture. Leif Ivar had prepared some material as a starting point of our talk together, pointing us to Jesus Christ as our example. As usual we cover a lot of ground in our fruitful discussion. These young people have a very good insight and wisdom in how to hear from God and to communicate with non-believers. In days ahead we will hear more from them as they enter positions of responsibility in our society.
Since Solveig was away, Kathrine brought a delicious self-made cake. Per Filip brought a thermo mug of coffee and others brought some snacks. Still we all missed Solveig! Tomorrow she will be home again! Praise God!
