  • Leaving for England

In a few minutes we are leaving for England. We will be attending the Ministries Without Borders’ Bible Week and we will be spending time with our daughter Hanna and her wonderful family! Hopefully I will be able to connect to the Internet and to blog! Otherwise we will be gone for two weeks!

  • Strawberries in my garden

For the first summer we have been able to enjoy the strawberries in our gardens! So far I have picked nearly 20 liters! There are a lot more to come, but tomorrow we are leaving for England so I guess we will have no more strawberries from our garden this season! Last year we were away in the entire season! What a tragedy! But this summer we have enjoyed the most tastful strawberries on God’s wonderful earth, from our own garden. God is good!

  • Bibleweeks and blessings

    Yesterday
we arrived home after we had been to the second Bibleweek in July. And we will
attend the third one this coming weekend! This time we go by plane to England were we meet at a conference place
near Stafford. We have had two very good weeks so
    far.

  • Guds ord gjer sitt verk

  • Another conference is over

It is good to be back home after another summer conference. We only had one day to re-pack before we left for Stokke where the next Bible week was to be hold. Unfortunately I was not able to use my wi-fi to connect to the Internet during that conference and therefore I have not been able to update my blog!

  • Mikal – the Champion

Mikal1 At our summer conference in Harstad we have enjoyed wonderful teaching and preaching by Vince Esterman and Noralv Askeland. But there have been a lot of other things happening as well. Yesterday we had an exciting competition on building and climbing on the big plastic boxes for soft drinks.

  • Our brothers and sisters are suffering

Early this morning I received this email from Chandrakant in India!: "Due to heavy flood Gujarat has been affected very badly. Millions of people have lost everything. Hundreds of people have died. Our churches are affected as well. We are trying to help with what we can at the moment." More about this flood can be found at Friends of Covenant.

It is kind of unreal to read messages like this when we are in the Land of the Midnight Sun in Harstad enjoying the most wonderful weather! But we need to help our suffering brothers and sisters in Gujerat and we need to enable them to help others!

  • Fishers of men

This morning Vince Esterman from Paris gave us wonderful instruction on being fishers of men. He started by saying that we may understand unsaved people by understanding fish. From that starting point he proceeded to give us practical instruction along exciting fishing stories!

  • Faith and expectation at the Summer Conference

Harstad05 At the opening meeting last night at the Summer Conference in Harstad we could sense a high level of faith and expectation in the people. Worship was led by Marit Thomsen from Tromsø and it was a joy just to look at the musicians assisting her in praising God. More than hundred people were gathered for the first meeting and the excitement was great! I was preaching the Word of God. By the grace of God I was able to impart even more faith in the hearts of the people. We are living in exciting times! God is moving powerfully by his Spirit to fulfill all his promises!

  • Harstad is connected

What a joy to arrive at Evenes to be welcomed by Torbjørn Hansen and taken to his home for a wonderful lunsh together with a lot of covenant people. The weather here is amazing! We are far beyond the Artic Circle. The sun is shining. There is no cloud on the blue sky. The temperature is high. We are having about 25 degrees Celsius.
