This morning Vince Esterman from Paris gave us wonderful instruction on being fishers of men. He started by saying that we may understand unsaved people by understanding fish. From that starting point he proceeded to give us practical instruction along exciting fishing stories!

The characteristics of fish

1. The big fish is caught on deep water! If we are to be fishers of men we must have a deep relationship with God causing people to ask "What is it about you?" or say "There is something about you!"

2, Fish is govern by its eating habits! Fish go where they find food! Fishers need to know what kind of food the fish is looking for!

3. To fish you need the right equipment! A line and a hook are not sufficient!

4. What the fish does depends on the weather. Unsaved people respond to feelings and emotions more than to words. A good atmosphere, friendliness, simplicity give a high score!

5. There is a great variety of fish to catch. We don’t know what we get, but we must take what we get!

He ended the session with a thrilling fishing story when he had been helped by a professional guide. I will never forget this punchline:
