  • Only one Mediator

The apostle Paul is making it very clear that there is only one God for all people, and there is only one mediator or middle-man between God and men. The only one that can bring us human beings together with God is the man Jesus Christ. He has opened a new and living way into the very presence of God. Now we may all come directly to God and enjoy a close relationship with him because of Jesus Christ.

  • God opens his hand

As I have been praying for the up coming Easter Conference the Lord has given me a vision. Four times I saw God open his hand in a large gathering of his covenant people.

  • A command from God

Yesterday I had a telephone call from a saint from the northern part of Norway. He said he had a word from God to me, then he corrected himself by saying that actually he had a command from God to me. I was listening carefully. This is the command he gave me: "Take rest!"

I have heard that several times the last few months and now I wonder why the Lord is giving me a command through this saint from the north. The last month I have not been doing any of my ordinary work. I have been resting from my normal work, and still I am having this command. I wonder why?

  • It is still snowing in Bergen

It has been a cold and very long winter. In fact, I have been told that it is the coldest winter for about fifty years! And this morning snow is still pouring down. Hopefully it will not last. The Spring is on the way. Winter has to let go of its grip. The Snow Bells and Crocuses are already out. The Daffodils or Easter Lilies are still not in bloom, but they are budding. The snow that is falling today is smelting on the ground. I think the winter has eventually lost its grip! Even if it is still snowing in Bergen today, the Spring is definitely here!

  • Restoring a farm house?

Dscf0802Recently I have been looking for an old farm house to restore. I think I have found the right place. There is certainly a lot of work to be done on the place I am in the process of buying. Actually I am buying myself a lot of work. But that is what I need at the moment. There is still some more things to be sorted out before I can buy this place 90 minutes drive from where we live. We are praying and trusting God to work it all out wonderfully!

  • Living in freedom

I was struck by an expression in Psalm 119:45 a few days ago: "I will live in freedom, because I want to follow your orders." That is a strange combination that goes contrary to the wisdom of the world. However, the wisdom of the Kingdom of God is different. Our freedom is dependent on our ability to obey the orders of God! Living free is the fruit of following the word of God! I love the unique freedom of submitting to the Lordship of Christ! This is my happy way of life, obeying the word of God, and being led by the Spirit in my everyday life. I have given up control. Now I am free to follow the guidance of the Spirit!

  • Praising God in the congregation!

Yesterday I had the privilege of meeting with the covenant community in Bergen. We had a very good time in the presence of God. Some expressions used by David came to my mind. He speaks about praising God in the big meeting for people or in the midst of the congregation. As we were praising God, I looked around, and was touched to tears many times. As I looked at the people around me I realize that we all had our individual stories, we had all had our struggles in life. I knew the people well enough to know of the difficulties they had faced and how they had overcome. I was so grateful to the Lord for the privilege to worship him together with so many precious people with so many special stories of the goodness of God shown to them in miraculous ways. God is so good!
