  • Good news for the Norwegians

Today I have good news for all my Norwegian friends. I have taken some steps to develop my Norwegian blog. The entries have been categorized and I have started to blog on new prophetic insight. Please visit Kva seier Herren?

  • Disobedient silence

When I have been meditating on the sentence the Lord dropped into my heart: "The silence of a prophet of the Lord speaks much louder than the frequent and plentiful prophecies of ten thousand prophets of any religious establishment,” it suddenly struck me that this is almost a contradiction of terms. Prophets are, by their very nature, calling, and anointing, speakers. They are the spokesmen of the Lord, the Eternal and Great I AM. It is not their nature to be silent. They are anointed to proclaim the Word of the Lord. Therefore the Lord is describing an extraordinary situation, an abnormal situation. However, even the silence of a prophet speaks!

  • The silence of a prophet

As I was meditating on the Lord and asking him about the prophetic ministry I felt the Lord dropped this sentence in my heart:

"The silence of a prophet of the Lord speaks much louder than the prophecies of one thousand prophets of the established order."

  • Finishing the race

The Easter conference is successfully finished. Everyone present that I have been in contact with were excited with the gatherings and especially the ministry of the Word by the servants of the Lord. Saturday evening Keri Jones were ministering on the legacy the prophet (2 King 4:1-7) left his wife and sons, – oil enough for an anointing. It was an outstanding message. After the message he continued to minister prophetically to the congregation, groups of leaders and individuals.

Sunday morning Noralv Askeland was ministering on finishing the race (Hebrew 11:39-12:3). He was most excellent as he was describing how to be in the Spirit and not to fulfill the desires of the flesh as we are running to finish the race set before us.

  • Refusing to abort a defect foetus.

To be somebody is to refuse abort a defect foetus

    When all the medical experts

Advise you to end the life that you carry in your womb.

It is to choose to trust the Creator of life

To let the embryo develop its own way,

And not to interfere to end the life of the handicapped child.

In spite of all the medical facts you are confronted with,

You choose to give the foetus, the child in your womb, a chance.

To be somebody is to choose to give birth

To a child with severe defects,

To carry it for nine months under your heart,

Only to bring forth a stillborn baby.

To be somebody is to give thanks to God

With streams of tears from your eyes

When you suffer the terrible loss of a daughter:

Thank you God for being so merciful and good!

Thank you for creating our beautiful Natalie.

Thank you for taking her into your presence

Even before she ever felt any pain or worry.

Thank you for being my faithful Father,

For being my mighty comforter, helper and friend.

Thank you for raising a shelter around us

Of dear family and close covenant friends.

You are my peace, my life, my world,

My foundation, my all and everything.

    Words cannot express,

    Oh, how I love you!

This poem is written in the honour Nina and Per Filip Osland for their decision not to end the life of their defect daughter through abortion when the doctors put heavy pressure on them. When the child was stillborn after nine months of pregnancy, Per Filip wrote the most beautiful thanksgiving to God. I admire my two young friends. They are true heroes of faith. They are really somebody. I am proud of knowing precious people like Nina and Per Filip! They make this world a more beautiful place to live through their devotion to serve life only.

  • The purpose of the Cross

Good Friday evening Keri Jones was ministering on the purpose of the Cross. He stated by reading from Hebrew 2:8-10 and showing us that, through the suffering and death of his Son, God wanted to bring many sons and daughters to glory. The purpose of the cross is greater than forgiveness of sins or the cleansing of sins. Jesus Christ came to die to reproduce himself, like he is saying in John 12:24 when he is speaking of the seed falling to the ground to die to produce a great harvest of the same seed.

When we come to God through Christ, we are born again. Christ is born in us. We become new persons. The old life is gone, a totally new life has begun! The seed of God produces new life in us. We receive divine nature through the new birth by the Holy Spirit. That is why Christ had to die. He had to solve the sin problem. He came to destroy the work of the enemy. He came to deliver us from the evil one. He has redeemed us and transferred us to the Kingdom of God. Sin and death is dealt with.

When we trust the work of Christ we become a new creation, new persons. We receive a new nature. We receive the life of God on the inside. The Spirit of God dwells within us. We have become sons and daughters of God. What a miracle! Now we are taken from power to power, from glory to glory. Our future is bright. We belong to God. We have been redeem. We have been born again. We have received the life of God!

  • Living in the supernatural

The Easter conference is going very well. Yesterday and today the focus of the teaching has been on living in the supernatural life of the Holy Spirit. Yesterday morning Terje Dahle and a lot of helpers were teaching on the supernatural life of discipleship in close relationships and fellowships. In the evening Noralv Askeland was ministring on caring for the poor and helping them to help themselves. And this morning Arne Skagen has been ministering on living in the Spirit and bringing healing and new life to people.

  • Revolutionizing Change

Yesterday our Easter conference started. The motto this year is Revolutionizing Change. Knut G. Osland spoke about the extreme development that we see in the world and what God is doing to change the situation. He mentioned seven area where God is working among his people worldwide.

    1. He is calling people to fervent prayer. All over the world we see many prayer movements and initiative born by the Spirit. 2. A new boldness in sharing the good news to none believers and bringing new people into the Kingdom of God. 3. More and greater miracles are taking place today. Reports are coming from all the corners of the world of outstanding miracles and people being raised from the dead! 4. A new focus on helping the poor. It is a hallmark of the apostolic ministry to care for the poor and today we see many in initiative to end poverty! 5. Revolution in the way we are the church. The traditional way of running a church is giving way to a return to the simple and organic church of the New Testament. 6. God is bringing a new unity among his people. More and more Christians understand that God has only one church, and they come together in new ways. 7. Transformation of society has become a new focus for many believers worldwide, and many encouraging reports are coming about transformation of communities and nations.

Actually we are living in exciting times! God is on the move. Even though we live in the midst of contrasting events and trends, we know that the Kingdom of God will triumph in the world!

  • Standing on your own feet

To be somebody is to stand on your own feet,

    Choosing your own way,

    Breaking new ground,

As you keep to the straight and narrow path.

    When you are standing upright

    With your head lifted high,

While you receive scorn and mockery,

    As token of distinction,

    And marks of honour,

Then you are showing the inner strength

That makes you a real somebody!
