Month: February 2007

  • Preparing for India

At the moment we have wonderful winter weather in Bergen. This morning we had minus 8 degrees Celsius at home. The sun is shining and everything is bright.

Solveig and I are preparing for our coming visit to India. We leave February 12 and will be away for one month. We are looking forward spending time with our friends and even visiting some new places on this trip. Solveig is packing our suitcases and she is busy shopping for some presents and all the necessary things we need to bring with us.

I am preparing by studying the Word and looking into all the subjects I have been asked to share some insight on. The best preparation is done in prayer in the presence of the Lord.

  • The joy of seeing growth

We had a wonderful weekend at our house in the forest. Friday and Saturday we had a lot of eager young people with us in a wonderful time of fellowship and working together. Sunday morning we had the joy of seeing growth at the covenant community in Nordhordland. It was very encouraging to see new people and to see people maturing and making progress in their walk with God. After that gathering we had another precious family joining us for dinner and fellowship.

I find great joy in seeing people walk with God and growing spiritually as I also find joy in seeing that the numbers of believers are increasing. God is good. He has made us part of something full of life, a dynamic and vibrant Kingdom community expanding all the time!

  • Fellowship weekend

This weekend we are having many different gatherings all over the town and the district to celebrate Jesus in our homes and neighbourhoods. Solveig and are going to Lindås today to spend time in our new place in the woods. Tomorrow a good group of young people will join us for fellowship and dialogue in the Word, and some practical work on Saturday. Sunday morning I will minister the word of God at the covenant community in Nordhordland, and after that gathering we are expecting new people to come for dinner and fellowship. I look forward to a wonderful fellowship weekend. My only regret is that I will not be online before over the weekend. Then I hope to be able to comment on some of the comments!
