It was so good to arrive in Darjeeling Saturday night. Henry and Jyoti met us at the airport and took us by two cars up the hills to the beautiful town of Darjeeling – The Queen of the Hills. It took us about five hours to reach our destination. Immediately we were taken to meet with the covenant community that was waiting for us. It was wonderful to see our dear friends again. They gave us a very warm welcome!
Sunday and Monday we have been togehter with these wonderful people. We have experienced the presence of God and shared in the blessings of God. We have seen people receive Christ as their Lord and Saviour. We have also seen some good healings taken place. A lady testified of being instantly healed from ulcerus! Differents kinds of pains in the bodies of the believers have disappeared! Yesterday many believers received the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
We have heard some very encouraging reports from Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan and Darjeeling district. The Spirit of God is moving among the hill people! New covenant communities are being born in many new locations. The good news of the Kingdom is being announced and people receive it joyfully!
Henry gave us a moving report from his work in Nepal. He is working among some tribal people in a very remote area. He has been used by God to establish three covenant communities in that remote place. He has to walk by foot for four or five days to reach the place where he is working. He has suffered a lot of hardships but endures because of his love for the people! He is not only caring for their spiritual needs but helps them to generate income as well as giving the medical treatment. He has taught a lot of the people to read and write and now he will start a school to bring education to the children and the young generation.
I thank God for the wonderful covenant partners he has given us in this beautiful place. Next time we come here we will go to Sikkim and Bhutan as well! God is opening new doors for us!
Today Solveig and I are staying at the hotel when our friends are going to visit a new fellowship of believers. I plan to do some writing and let my acking ancle rest.
