  • Joyful Christmas

I wish all my friends a joyful Christmas. I wish all my friends a peaceful Christmas. I wish all my friends may have a Christmas celebration centered on the glorious Lord of the Universe, the Crucified and Risen Lord of lords and King of kings.

  • Christmas shopping

Today I have done my Christmas shopping. Solveig started her Christmas shopping in October in India, and she has been buying Christmas presents ever since. She is remembering everyone, and she is so clever to buy something that is making people happy. I am also happy that she has the gift of shopping and is taking care of all the preparation of Christmas.

My Christmas shopping is quite simple. I only have to buy presents to one person. But it is the most special person, Solveig, the best wife in the world! She has given me some ideas of things she desires for Christmas presents. Some of them I meet, and then I normally buy something to be a total surprise to her. I love to surprise my wife, but this year I am not absolutely sure if she will be surprised. Anyway, I love to buy presents to my wife!

  • A day of celebration

    Today we
have celebrated my husbands 63 years Birthday. I have the privilege to be
married to a wonderful man, he is very special and it was a great joy to
prepare a Birthday party for him. I tried to make the day happy and special for
him. Josef and his family came for dinner and the children had made nice
things. Our grandchildren called from north and south and from

    England

and they sang Happy Birthday to
their grand father. He had more visits and telephones all day.

    I am glad
my dear Erling enjoyed the day. He is a good and faithful husband who I love so
much and it is my desire to do my best so every day can be a good day for him.

  • It is nice to be remembered

Early this morning at about 0530 I had a phone call from friends in India wanting to congratulate me with my birthday. During the day I have had several visitors,  phone calls and text messages via my mobile phone, as well as electronic birthday cards.

It is very good to be remembered by children, grandchildren and friends. Solveig, my wonderful wife, made me the most delicious cream cake, and she had bought me some beautiful books. Perhaps the best gift she gave me was an envelope which contained at least ten read paper hearts with encouraging words written in gold. Those words of love made my day a very special day. All the small tokens of love from family and friends who remembered me made me feel good. It is nice to be remembered. Thank you very much!

  • Being remembered

To be somebody is being remembered

    On a very ordinary birthday,

    By wife, children and grandchildren,

    By family and friends,

By people near and far away,

Through e-cards, phone calls and text messages.

    Being remembered on a birthday,

Is a token of love and appreciation,

Making you feel you are somebody.

But really, it is the person who remembers another person

And care enough to express his or her love

    Who is somebody!

To be somebody is to forget about oneself

    To remember our neighbour

And think about our other people’s need

  • Help to Tsunami victims

It was a great joy to be able to hand over two big tanks of drinking waters to two villages at the southern coast of Andra Pradesh in India during our last visit a few weeks ago. The people were so happy for the repair of their irrigation system and for the supply of drinking water. It meant a great deal to them and will make their life safer and easier!

We also distributed new fishing boats and nets to fishermen who had lost their income through the destruction of the Tsunami. No one else have been helping these poor people. It is a great you to be able to help the poor as Jesus told us to do. I have made several photos available in my new album: Help to Tsunami victims. You better see for your self that the help is reaching the poor!

  • The light from heaven

Because of God’s tender mercy, the light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those in sit in darkness and in the shaddow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace (Luke 1:78-79).

The light from heaven is even today about to break upon the world through the anointed body of Jesus Christ. In spite of the darkness covering the earth the Kingdom of Light is advancing. In spite of persecution of believers in many places, still eager multitudes are pressing into the Kingdom of God. The light from heaven is shines through the darkness of this world, and the darkness can never extinguish it.

  • Serenity prayer

    God grant me

Serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

Courage to change the things I can,

And wisdom to know the difference.

  • Å finna ro i sjela i ein hektisk kvardag

  • Take time

    Take time to think …

It is the source of power.

    Take time to play …

It is the secret of perpetual youth.

    Take time to laugh …

It is the music of the soul.

    Take time to pray …

It is the greatest power on Earth.
