What are you willing to sacrifice?

According to Wolfgang Simson the big question is, "What are we willing to give up in order to see millions of people come into the Kingdom?" Our traditions and our fears can keep us from becoming the people of God who with humility and gentleness can be used by God to deliver His message of love and redemption to a hurting and dying world.

Wolfgang speaks of the Body of Christ functioning on a daily basis in the home and in the community. He speaks of listening to God and hearing him without the fanfare of the televangelist or globe trotting prophet. He shares a simple approach to life that reflects the heart of the Father and carries out the desires of the Son to see every person in our sphere of influence touched with the love, care and compassion of Jesus Christ. He talks about families and their ability to reach out from their homes and bring people into the Kingdom. In short, he talks of the normal Christian life.

Wolfgang is convinced that we don’t need more "SuperStars". What we need are believers like you and me living out the love of Christ in our neighborhoods. We need a deep and abiding intimacy with Christ that motivates us to know Him first and then fan that passion in every believer. We need to see true Spiritual Fathers that begin to release the Body of Christ to impact a lost and dying generation multiplying the Kingdom of God through small gatherings of believers that reproduce continually.

Great post Erling! and great question by Wolfgang Simson. The truth is Love in practical expression is always giving: time, yourself, possession etc. And giving will always lay a demand on us i.e. sacrifice. Extra-ordinary saints, are those ordinary saints who are willing to go the extra mile and pay the extra price to show the saving love of the Father to the lost.
