Spending time with disciples in Kathmandu

Today we have had the privilege to spend time with about 12 disciples from some very remote areas of Nepal. Brother Henry has brought all these disciples with him to spend time with us. It was such a great joy to see Henry after a long time and to meet all the new disciples he brought with him.

In 2006 Henry has baptized 35 new disciples and about 30 more is ready for baptism. I must say I admire Henry for the work he is doing. He is reaching these precious tribal people living in very remote areas of Nepal. Often he has to walk for several days to reach the villages where he is making disciples. Actualy he is reaching a wide area walking on his feet, but so far he has only be able to establish 7 house churches, he is explaining to me.

I am excited about the seven churches he has started among these unreached tribes. But Henry wants to reach further. He wants to see more disciples following Jesus Christ in the nation of Nepal.

Nepal is in a very important stage at the moment. Peace negotiation is going on in this nation and the signing of the peace agreement between the government and the Maoist rebels has been postphoned. We need to pray for all those taking part in the peace negotiation that they may show goodwill and reach an agreement that will bring rigtheousness and peace and joy to the entire nation of Nepal.
