For several weeks there has been no new entry on my blog. This has been unusual, and it will not become the new trend. Most of this time of absence on the blog has been due to lack of online connectivity. It has been a wonderful time with children and grandchildren, and a time of reading, prayer and reflection, as well as of cutting down big trees.
This weekend we are in Skien to celebrate the Christian Fellowship church. Later today there will be a big love meal with lots of joy. After the big celebration gathering we are invited to take part in an apostolic nachspiel. I have never been to such a nachspiel before but I am full of anticipation. Sunday morning I have the privilege to minister the Word of God to the covenant people.
Life goes on! We are already far into the new year. We are planning visits to India. We are working on new teaching material and new ways of delivery.
Life goes on! The covenant community, of which we are a part of in Bergen, is taking some bold and some not so bold steps forward, both confident and trembling. At least we are on the move and there is no way back. Life goes on, as we pursue the purpose of God for the time in which we live. Life goes on, as we press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed us. Life goes on, as we focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, to press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
