Yesterday our Easter conference started. About 600 people were gathered in the building of the Christ Church.in the evening. It was great to see many friends again, some after a long time, others I see more often. Noralv Askeland ministered the word of God in this first meeting. He spoke of the mercy of God. "Once you received none of God’s mercy; now you have received his mercy" (1 Peter 2:10). He was underlining that God is a good God and therefore he is showing mercy. Only by the mercy of God will we see fulfilled what we are working towards. When God shows mercy we find grace to do what we have to do. The mercy of God is creating faith and love in our life. Faith and love are the only things that matters, not activities or anything else. The mercy of God is our only motivation in bringing our body and entire life to God as a living sacrifice.

Kingdom students
I am enjoying my time with the students at the School of the Word at All Nations Center in Cardiff. They are a wonderful batch. I call them kingdom students. They are sold out for the kingdom and are seeking to grasp even more of the dynamic vitality of the Kingdom of God. We have had some good discussions, questions and dialogs. Tomorrow they will give a report from their homework.

The School of the Word
I had my first day at the School of the Word today. There are twenty three students in the class. Only one of them I knew pretty well beforehand. Some I have seen around in gatherings before. Most of the students were totally new to me and I guess they didn’t have much idea about me either. Therefore I spent the first session in sharing my testimony with them.

The thankful fisherman
While we were visiting the Blessing Community in Andra Pradesh, one of the fishermen, that covenant communities in Norway and England had provided with a new boat and fishing nets, came to see us. He had to travel a full day to be able to meet us. His name is Subha Rao. He is fishing at the mouth of the Krishna river. He lost everything in the tsunami. The future for him and his family was dark as he was owing money and he had no way of paying it back because of lack of income. -
Schipol Amsterdam
I am on my way to Cardiff to teach at the School of the Word about the Kingdom of God. I left Bergen this afternoon and arrived to find my flight to Cardiff delayed. Then there is nothing better than to connect to Internet at the wire-less connection at this big airport in Amsterdam.

Sundar Paul
When we were visiting AP in India we met with Sundar Paul. He came to Christ about 13 years ago. At once he started to go to the surrounding villages to bring them the good news of the Kingdom of God. He is now an elderly man who loves the Lord and serves him with great fervour. He told us some incredible miracle stories.

Ethiopia is a special country
I am back home after a wonderful and exciting time in Ethiopia. We have seen the grace of God at work among his people. Something very good is going on in this special nation that has had the gospel for nearly 2000 years. It is fascinating to think that the good new of Jesus Christ came to Ethiopia nearly one thousand years before it reached Norway.

Sad news – good news – India
I have just received news from some of my friends in India. It is some sad news and some exciting good news.
Bherulal, one of our former Bible School students, who pioneered a church in his village, went to visit another village to share the good news of the Kingdom. While he was away some people from RSS – a fundamentalist Hindu fascist group – came to his home. They beat all the family and raped his wife. When Bherulal returned home he found his family in a devastated condition. He went to the elders of the village to complain. While he was there the perpetrators came to threaten them all. They told Bherulal that they wouldn’t allow any Christian to live the village. The elders couldn’t do any thing, but advise him to take it to the police. He went to the police to deliver a complaint, but so far nothing has happened.

A relaxing and fulfilling time
We have been having a very relaxing and fulfilling time in Trondheim during the weekend. We have had a wonderful fellowship with people who are fully dedicated to the Lord. Saturday night we attended at gathering in the house of five students living together. After a light meal we continued to dialog. I had many questions and gave a few answers to provoke the young people to further considerations. A new Christian brought some refreshing comments and questions.

Fellowshipping
We have already arrived safely in Trondheim. Terje Dahle met us at the airport and took us to his new home in the Heimdal area. He prepared a nice lunch for us and we are having a wonderful time of eating and fellowshipping together. I am so happy to discover that he has a wireless Internet connection in his home enabling me to read my email and even post a short entry to my blog. In our discussion we have already been all around the world, but what I love most is that we have opened our Bibles to look at the Word of God together. The new phase of the covenant community of God will find fruitfulness only as it takes direction from the Word of God.
