Yesterday morning I had a wonderful time again with the students at the School of the Word in Cardiff. Roger took me to the airport and I was longing to go home to my beautiful and loving wife. But I didn’t reach home that night! I only arrived home today!

Having arrived at the airport more than one hour before departure, my problems started. My KLM flight had been overbooked and despite my protests I was transferred to the next flight which was scheduled two hours later. I asked about my connection and was assured that there would be no problem! However, my next flight was delayed, and my KLM Bergen flight had left when I landed in Amsterdam!

The people at the transfer desk and the arrival service are very nice and I was given a room at the Ibis Hotel. I was given a nice dinner and a good breakfast. I have no complaints except that I was in the wrong location, far from my dear wife!

This is my second time I fly Bergen-Amsterdam-Cardiff-Amsterdam-Bergen with KLM. The first time I had to wait for more than 24 hours for my luggage to arrive in Cardiff. On the return the flight was delayed and I was stranded in Amsterdam as well. Since my wife was with me at that time, it was kind of easier to cope!

So far I am not very happy with KLM. Once we flew with KLM to India. Then we were stranded in Amsterdamon our way out! We even had to pay our stay at the hotel at that time! On the way home they were very strict on the weight of the luggage and I had to pay a lot! Even if you only had half a kilo overweight you had to pay! I will never go to Indiawith KLM again! In fact my advice is: Stay away from KLM altogether if possible!
