  • Wonderful fellowship in Cardiff

My first day in Cardiffis over. It has been a day with wonderful fellowship with the students at the School of the Word. I have been sharing my testimony and giving some teaching on the eternal purpose of God. It is a very good batch of students. One of them, Akinola, has already started to be a blogger!

When I arrived yesterday, my friend Dr. Roger Aubrey met me at the airport and took me to his home. Today I have had the privilege of spending time with the Aubrey family and enjoying the special meal “Pasta Bake” prepared by the head of the house himself! What a blessed time we are having together!

It is a special joy for me to announce that Roger Aubrey now has started his own blog! What a brave man he is! I am sure his blog will be a blessing to many people!

  • Spending time with Bible students

Last week I spent time with the bible students at Bergen Bibelskole. From morning to lunch for four days I had the privilege of teaching and dialoging with these wonderful young people. This week I will spend time with Bible students at The School of the Word, Cardiff, Wales. I am looking forward having a superb time with them. There is nothing like being with hungry Bible students!

  • Spending time in airports

To be somebody is spending time in airports

    Waiting for the next flight

Hoping it is not delayed or being cancelled

Looking forward to arriving the destination

To be somebody is to make time meaningful

By observing unique people hurrying to their gates

Or study those who are waiting like you

Spending time waiting for the next flight

To be somebody is to utilize the waiting time

    – in airports or elsewhere

Through deep meditation or silent contemplation

    Or by releasing your creativity

    By writing simple poems

  • Infecting or being infected?

I am impressed by the life of Jesus. He seemed to infect people with kindness. He faced so much hatred and evil but overcame by giving of himself. He enjoyed going to parties with all kind of people. He infected people everywhere with is simple way of life. He was not infected by the people he met. He loved people. He cared for people. Therefore he helped people to change. And he is still changing society!

Today I have written a new poetic entry on infecting people!

  • Infecting people

To be somebody is to infect people

    By your joy and hope

By your attitudes of faith and love

    By your positive words

    By your wholesome lifestyle

    By your acts of kindness

    Great people have the capacity

Of enjoying being with people who are different

Sharing their life and values naturally

    Great people are infectious

In the way they live and speak

    Always giving of themselves

When you are not infected by evil

Not infected by the greed around you

Not infected by the envy you face

Not infected by the materialism of society

Or the fatalism of traditional religion

    But rather infecting your environment

    Then you are really somebody

  • Back to Jerusalem

This weekend we have had a team from Back to Jerusalem visiting the church in Bergen. It has been very inspiring and challenging to listen to brother Yun and sister Deborah as they have been sharing from the Word of God and their own experiences with the Lord. The call of God on the Chinese Christians to take the gospel back to Jerusalemis a high calling. It is a privilege that we can stand with them in this great task.

The Back to Jerusalem web pages are packed with information and lot of good reports of what the Lord is doing in that part of the world.

  • Sheep’s heads party

Sheepparty Last night I had the honour of attending the annual Sheep’s heads party at Gullbotn together with 40 other real men.

Sheepper It is Per Kristing who is the man behind it and I don’t know how many times it has been arranged. There has never been so many attendants as this year. It is certainly growing bigger year by year even if some of the less brave men are no longer attending!

Sheephands A sheep head is delicious food for real men. We may even use our hands when eating in deep concentration! We eat everything we are able to chew or swallow. Only the bones are left on the plate when we are finished.

This time Per Kristing was using the opportunity to raise funds for an orphanage in India. He planned to raise 10.000.- kroner for that purpose through this excellent party food!

Sheepplate Sheepfinished These two last pictures are the proof that I did a good job in finishing!
