Yesterday Solveig and I went to be with the growing covenant community at the island of Stord. The work is lead by Jan Sigve and Astrid Elin Hystad. We met in their beautiful house with a big terrace and a most gorgeous view I have ever seen from a house!

We arrived early and had a good time playing with their two boys, Isak and Jakob, before we enjoyed our barbecue meal on the terrace. It was the warmest summer day so far in the western part of Norway this year, 19 degrees Celsius! We loved it!

After the big meal the cell-group-leaders arrived and we had a very good time with them. Jan Sigve was asking questions and led in to share about four basic and necessary things for being a church of God. There was a good interaction taking place and a fruitful discussion.

Later in the evening the entire covenant community gathered. There was a wonderful atmosphere among the people as they gathered and fellowshipped drinking coffee or tea with biscuits or ice cream. Jan Sigve led us into worship before the throne of God and then I was sharing on the eternal plan and purpose of God!

When we arrived home 00.30 at midnight it was still kind of light as the sun had just gone down behind the mountains. We were praising God for the wonderful country he has placed us in! Norway is such a beautiful country. God is so good!
