This morning we were able to post our chapter on 40 happy years to the German publisher. It was a great relief to be able to send it within the last deadline we had been given. At the end of our story we are sharing about the one key to success in marriage as well as giving some very simple advices for couples who want to grow stronger in their relationship.

When we look at our marriage to find the one thing that has made it such a success, we must give the glory to God. It is all the grace of God that we have had a strong and happy marriage. The love of God poured out in our hearts, the covenant faithfulness of God towards us, the healing power of his forgiveness between us, have helped us to grow strong and harmonious in our relationship. Our common faith in God and our personal walk with him together, have been the very foundation of our marriage that has helped us to withstand the floods and storms of life. Our commitment to God and one another has given us something greater than ourselves and even our own family to live for!

We would advice every married couple to never let the sun set on any unresolved issues! Likewise we would encourage every couple to compete to honour each other! Be generous with kind words of encouragements. Be quick in admitting that you are wrong and in asking forgiveness, and be extremely liberal in granting forgiveness! Laugh together! Have fun together! Let your friendship grow strong! Make every effort to make your relationship exciting and adventurous. Never let romance die, but keep it alive in every possible way and let your love be burning hot!
