I was challenged by the word of God in Isaiah 49:6 to his servant where God is saying that it is too small a thing for the servant of God to reach his own people only! He is saying that he had called him to do more than that! He had called him to be a light to the nations to bring the salvation of God to the ends of the world!

Bible school students at Gullbotn
Last night Solveig and I took part in a prophetic gathering with the new batch of Bible school students at Gullbotn. The presence of God was powerfully with us. The prophetic words were accompanied by a terrific lightening and thunder somehow confirming the words and synchronized with the releasing of the power of God.

Gender neutral marriages?
After the coming election 12th September in Norway a gender neutral marriage law could be introduced. Three socialist parties and the liberal party have decided to change our present law. Today I have sent an appeal signed by more than thirty Christan leaders from a very wide variety of churches and denominations in Bergen to be published in the main news paper. I initiated this appeal only a short time ago and I am pleased that so many wanted to join me in the appeal. kjønnsnøytral ekteskapslov
Landsmøtene for Ap, RV, SV og Venstre har i vår programfestet at Norge bør innføre en såkalt kjønnsnøytral ekteskapslov. En slik lov vil ikke lenger definere ekteskapet som et samliv mellom mann og kvinne, men være «nøytral» i forhold til kjønn. Personer av samme kjønn vil kunne inngå ekteskap på lik linje med mann og kvinne. Partnerskapsloven blir overflødig. Som ledere i ulike religiøse sammenhenger i Bergen, har vi sterke motforestillinger mot å omgjøre og oppløse definisjonen av ekteskapet. Vi har ikke noe ønske om å kjempe mot homofile medmennesker – de har nøyaktig samme verdi og menneskeverd som alle andre – men vi ønsker å forsvare en grunnleggende samfunnsordning. Også mange homofile avviser for øvrig en kjønnsnøytral ekteskapslov.

A crowded living room
Yesterday Solveig and I had the joy of meeting with a young and emerging church in a crowded living room at Stord. We met the the spacious and beautiful home of Astrid Elin and Jan Sigve Hystad who is leading the growing group of people. The view from their living room is just spectacular and so are the people!
