The Spirit is moving in Bhubaneswar

We have just finished a fw days visit to Bhubaneswar, the city of temples, the capitol of Orissa. Here we have been meeting with leaders of covenant communities from many districts of Orissa. We have received some very encouraging reports of what God is doing. The Kingdom of God is advancing in this poor state in India.

Most of the leaders we have spent time with come from the Kui tribe. They are very nice people. Very warm and open hearted. There is a real sense of hearts being joined to hearts here.

We have been been with this precious people of God from morning to late evening every day. Yesterday we were taken to a gathering on the outskirts of the city. As we were traveling on the humpy dumpy road, crammed in an auto-richaw, I was thinking with myself: "Why are we doing this? This has been a very long day and we are not young anymore!" The dust and the heat was almost unbearable!

When we arrived, we were welcomed into a crowded house, and the heat was even worse! Solveig and myself were sharing about the goodness of God and the free salvation and infilling of the Holy Spirit. Zephry took the invitation and asked if people wanted to receive. 7 people wanted to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and a lot of the believers wanted prayers for the infilling of the Spirit. We also prayed for a lot of people for healing.

God is a good God. His Spirit is certainly mopving in Bhubaneswar! We are convinced that this city will see a mighty visitation of God in the days ahead!

Dear Erling and Solveig, we pray for you that you should be strengthened in your intensive and challenging work for the Lord. My prayer is that you shall be able to stand before the Lord Jesus Christ on his day knowing you did everything he asked you to do – nothing less.
