In Jaipur we met an old and very happy man. He was dancing so joyfully. He came to the main gathering for the first time. He was celebrating the Lord’s goodness in an extravagant Indian dance.

After then gathering I came to know his story. He was married to his 18th wife. The previous wives had died, or left him, or been taken back by their former husbands. This 18th wife he was given to him by the village leaders after the funeral service of his latest wife. He just accepted their decision to discover that her new wife was mentally ill. She was not able to do any practical work in the house. He was in a bad situation!

Then he was introduced to Christ by some friends. He gladly received the good news of the Kingdom of God. His friends also prayed for his wife. For the first time in their married life she prepared him a meal. He was so overwhelmed by the goodness of God and the swift way he answered that he came dancing to the main gathering of the covenant community to express his joy and thankfulness!

The change in his 18th wife was so convincing to him that he was overflowing of joy and gratitude to the Lord Jesus Christ.
