Some of us desperately want to see a Church Planting Movement sweep millions into the Kingdom in Europe. For this to occur, we will need tens of thousands of church planters and millions of ‘people of peace’ who are prepared by God to start a church in their home (or dorm or office or….). But, where will we get these leaders?
Our belief is that Jesus gave us the answer. "Beseech the Lord of the harvest to send forth labors into His harvest field." Lk. 10:2b. Our part is to ask (beseech, beg, pester). His part is to send (thrust out, launch). He does the "heavy lifting" (and, therefore, gets the glory). Our experience has been that once we find one of the these "launched" harvest workers, everything else is easy (see Cornelius in Acts 10).
So, we are putting most of our effort into prayer believing that before there can be a "church planting movement" there must be a "prayer movement". We seek to "infect" everyone we can with the 10:2b Virus. (We call it a "virus" because it is so easy for it to be passed on from person to person to person.) Two people (Jesus sent them two by two) beseeching the Lord of the Harvest as close to every day as possible for their assignment (their part of the harvest field).
Pray>> Find a prayer partner and set your cell phone alarm clocks to go off at 10:02am or pm. Stop whatever it is you are doing (for just a moment) and beg God to raise up workers within the harvest. Be specific and then watch and see what God does! We call this the “Ten2b Virus” (from Luke 10:2b).
Here’s a prayer you could pray: Jesus we believe you want to see a local expression of the church within walking distance of every 500 people within the City of Bergen. That’s approximately 460 churches, we beg you to raise workers to reap the harvest here.
Sow>>“Get out there, and cast some seed!” In your everyday life look for chances to cast some seed about the Good News of Jesus and then throw it on the soil of people’s hearts.
