The kingdom of God is eternal – from the beginning – before the creation of the world

Understanding the Kingdom of God is the key to understand the eternal plan and purpose of God in Jesus Christ. He began his ministry by preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. He made the Kingdom of God the centre of his life and ministry. Through his Kingdom consciousness his life was meaningful and with a purpose.

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe in the good news.” (Mark 1:15.)

With this proclamation Jesus Christ started his ministry and these words are now more relevant than ever. The time has come, the Kingdom of God has come on earth, – all what God spoke about through the prophets is being fulfilled for us now. We shall not wait for a new age where all the great things will happen! The time has come! The Kingdom of God is breaking in on us. The future is invading the present! The opportunities are here now! We live in the most exciting time in history. The Kingdom of God has come and is active on the earth today! In this book we will explore the meaning of this statement by looking at the background and the consequences.

Those who heard Jesus knew exactly what he meant. All their expectations and dreams were tied up to the coming

spoken of by their prophets down through the centuries. For most people today, the idea of the

has little meaning. Democracy is the order of the day and in our present monarchies the king has little power. At the Bible times kings were absolute sovereign monarchs of their kingdoms. To understand what Jesus meant it is necessary to go back to the dawn of time when God created the heaven and the earth and appointed man to rule over the whole of creation on earth.
