This morning 14 pastors and Christian leaders from many different congregations in Bergen met for prayer again. This was the first time we were together after the holiday season. I think we have all been praying privately during the summer break in these prayer meetings. But there is something special in praying together. Some of us have been meeting regularly for prayer in many years now. During this time we have come to appreciate one another as faithful friends.

Reidar Paulsen was reminding us of a phrase in the Lord’s prayer today: on the earth as in heaven!

We were praying for the name of God to be hallowed on the earth as in heaven.

We were praying for the Kingdom of God to come in the earth as in heaven.

We were praying for the will of God to be done on the earth as in heaven.

This threefold prayer was a meaningful start for our prayers together for our city and nation.
