Worshiping children

Dscf3852 Every place we visited in India we saw worshiping children. In every gathering the children took part. They were worshiping God with their entire being. They were singing and clapping hands. They were praying and pleading to God. I was moved to tears many times as I observed them in heartfelt surrender to Jesus Christ their Lord.

In all the covenant communities that we visited the children had a natural part. They were just part of the family of God. When it came to prayer and worship, they were in the forefront in their expressions of love and admiration to the Lord.

When we asked about membership we nearly always got the numbers of families and not of individuals as we are used to in Norway. These families used to be idol worshipers, animists or Buddhists. They used to grapple in darkness and uncertainty about their salvation. No they have found Christ. Their entire life has been changed. The family is enjoying peace and harmony because of the forgiveness of sins. The children can feel the difference. Therefore they love the Lord Jesus Christ who brought forgiveness, peace and joy into their homes. No wonder that they give themselves wholeheartedly in their worship of the living God.

Thank you, Erling, for sharing this with us! It really moves me when I see children worshiping Jesus. I think I’ll never forget the face of one particular little girl.. Oddmund Ro showed us a photo – quite a few years ago – from the Philippines, where this very young girl praised the Lord with lifted arms, her eyes shut and tears flowing down.
