Let it be with me just as you say!

I have been encouraged and challenged by the response Mary gave to the angel Gabriel when he had spoken of impossible things to take place in her life. She willingly responded: "I am the Lord’s servant, ready to serve, May what you say take place with me!" The angel had just explained that nothing is ever ompossible to God, and that the Holy Spirt would come upon her and the power of the Most High would overshaddow her to bring to pass what the Lord had destined for her.

We are all being called to achieve the impossible in our walk with God. The promises given to us, our churches and fellowships, surpass our abilities. Our calling is such a high calling. What God has intended to do through his people is far beyond our capacity!

Faced with the enormous task ahead of us, we turn to the Lord to reaffirm our commitment to him and the great commission he has given us. Achieving the impossible can only be done by the work of the Holy Spirit in us. Therefore my prayerful response is:

I am your servant. I will do whatever you ask me to do. Let it be with me just as you say! Let the power of the Holy Spirit work mightily in me to enable me to achieve the impossible for the Lord!
