The last few days we have been shopping
in Jaipur. I really like shopping here. The prices are very good and
the selection is absolutely astosnishing. This time we were taken to
some new malls and big shops for the first time. Solveig has been
able to buy a lot of Christmas gifts. And we have also bought some
new clothes for ourselves. Børge, who is here for the first
time ever, went berserk at the Westside. I found great joy in
encouraging him in his shopping experience. He was knocked out by the
colourful collection of modern or western inspired, yet very Indian
clothes. He could not believe his own eyes when he look at the prices
and therefore he enjoyed himself very much. He had to buy a new bag
to be able to take everything he bought with him home.

Shopping in Jaipur is always a great
joy. It is exciting with all the colourful clothes. Our Norwegian
clothes seems so dull in comparison with the Indian designs and
colours. But we are not only buying clothes. I am buying tea for the
next six months. I also buying Indian snacks to have a taste of India
in the house in the forest at home. This time we have not bought much
jeweleries and not much art- or craft-works, but we can’t avoid
buying something.
