During our visit to the Covenant School in Rajasthan we met some very good students. One of the students, Shushikant in the front of the picture, was a new disciple of Jesus Christ from Mumbai. He told a very encouraging and simple story of how he came to know the Lord. He had been ill for more than 3 years and his father sent him away. He was sent to Gujerat since his father was not able to look after him. In the city of Surat he met some followers of Jesus Christ who had moved to that place from Jaipur.

These people were quite new followers of Jesus but they had been trained to make new disciples. When they met Sushikant they told their testimony to him of how Jesus had changed their life. With great boldness did they proclaimed that if he believed in Jesus Christ he would be healed. Since he had suffered from this illness for more than 3 years and that no Hindu god had been able to help him, he decided to believe in Jesus Christ and immediately he was baptized. After baptism he was prayed for and was instantly healed. His new friends told him about the Covenant School in Jaipur and he applied and was admitted.
He was a very bright student, full of joy and excitement. At the day of graduation he told me that he planned to go back to Mumbai to start a new house church! I am sure that we will be very successful in his efforts to serve the Lord. I only encouraged him to multiply disciples because then Jesus will build his church.
