  • Kalimpong is on fire by the Spirit of God

    While visiting Kalimpong in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal a few days ago a young girl approached me. She was radiant as the sun with a big smile and bright shining eyes. She spoke softly but intensely as she proclaimed these words full of conviction: Kalimpong is on fire by the Spirit of God.

  • Orissa update

    At the moment we are in Orissa. Here we are hearing real life stories from people directly affected by the persecution going on in this state. Today i will only enclose a report sent me by my friend Sunny from Orissa. There are a lot of different numbers in the air and no one seems to know exactly what is going on and the total scale of the violence. We read about it in the news papers and we watch programs on TV discussing what is going on. One thing is sure, many people have been killed, thousands of believers are in refuge camps, and there seems to be no end to the current crisis of secular India.

    The Word is
    with God, and the Word is God.

    Being word
    is the very nature of God.

    The Word is
    an integral part of the Divine Being.

    He speaks
    all the time without intermission.

    He speaks
    continuously.

    The words
    that proceed from his mouth

    Are full of
    life and power

    For all
    those who receive them.

    God is
    life, and life proceeds from him

    Through the
    words he speaks.

    God is the
    fountain of life,

    An ever
    flowing source of living water.

    Living
    words drawing us to himself,

    Drawing us
    into a personal relationship with him.

    The word of
    God finds its fullness in the Word,

    His own
    dear Son,

    Light of
    his own light,

    Life of his

    kreftene som høyrer den komande verda til.

    i dei store heltane med tru

    som nekta å godta urett og undertrykking

    og let draumen om eit rettferdig samfunn driva dei til storverk

    fordi dei ser nye utviklingslinjer

    og gjer samfunnet betre og varmare.

    Dei ser seg sjølv som aktive deltakarar

    i eit kosmisk drama der himmel og jord skal samlast i harmoni

    Dei ser føre seg eit globalt panorama,

    medan dei engasjerer seg i nærmiljøet.

    Dei er jordnære kvardagskristne med tru på Den Allmektige

    i møte med utfordringar og kriser.

    Dei er menneske som ikkje berre står på dørstokken til ei ny tid,

    In the
    beginning was the creative Word.

    The creative
    Word was with God

    And the
    Word was God.

    The Word
    proceeding from God

    Is the only
    Son of God.

    He was in
    the beginning with God,

    Everything
    was created through him.

    Nothing,
    not one thing, came into being without him,

    He spoke,
    and it was done.

    He commanded,
    and it stood fast.

    The world
    appeared at his word.

    By faith we
    understand that the whole universe

    Is created
    by the word of God.

    By faith we
    understand that the visible things

    Came into
    existence by the spoken word of God.

    By faith we
    are beginning to grasp something

    Of the

  • Meditate on Christ

    Christian believers have through all
    times found inner strength by being still before the Lord and by meditating on
    the words of Christ. In returning to God and waiting for Him will we be
    refreshed and renewed in our inner being. In quietness and confidence we will
    find new strength.

  • Eg har ein draum frå barndomen

    Så lenge eg kan minnast har eg drøymd om noko meir, noko anna enn
    den kvardagen eg levde i. Då eg var liten drøymde eg om å verta doktor. Det var
    på den tida eg var sjukleg. Frå treårsalderen til tenåra var eg inn og ut av
    sjukehuset heile tida. Doktorane var då dei store heltane mine. Dei lindra
    smerte og gjorde folk friske. Dei gjorde livet betre for folk. Dei gjekk ikring
    på sjukehuset i kvite frakkar og såg veldig viktige ut. Dei hadde det travelt for
    mange ville snakka med dei og ha dei til å sjå på sjukdomen sin. Å vera doktor
    måtte vera noko av det største eit menneske kunne verta, tenkte eg og drøymde
    om ein dag å kunna hjelpa folk å verta friske.

  • Visiting India again

    Tomorrow morning we leave Norway to go to India again. We love India. The people are just wonderful and the culture is fascinating beyond words. The spicy food is delicious and all exotic the fruits are countless and delicious as well. However, we enjoy being with the covenant communities more than anything else. The precious disciples of the Lord are devoted and full of zeal in their love.
    The recent news of violence against followers of Jesus is very sad. I can’t really understand how it can happen. This violence is against everything the great Mahatma Gandhi stood for and foreign to the central belief of Hinduism as well in my understanding.

  • A new prophetic generation

    Snow was pouring down this morning as we were gathered at Gullbotn. We were taken by surprise by this early snowfall. God told us that it was a prophetic sign of his workings among us that would surprise us.
    The weekend has truly been a prophetic weekend. There has been a prophetic anointing resting on us from the beginning to the end. We have been looking at some important Scripture portions on the calling of some of the Old Testament prophets, and have been dialoging on the insights we have been given by the Spirit. I am really amazed at all the various ways God speaks to people through the same Scripture portions. I am impressed by the young people gathered at the weekend. They were people of revelation and moved powerfully in the Holy Spirit. Through the sharing of insight with one another, combined with the operating of the gift of prophecy in applying the insight into people’s lives, the Spirit has worked wonderfully among us.

    Certainly, the Lord is raising up a new prophetic generation. It is a generation of the Word and the Spirit. They are hungry for the Word and thirsty for the Spirit. It is a generation on fire for Jesus and with a burning desire to serve the purpose of God in their own lifetime.
