Christmas Eve is the happiest time in the year for all Norwegian children and those adult who are childlike and have the ability to rejoice in the small things in life. We will celebrate this Christmas with our daughter Ruth Kristin and our son David, his wife Lene and their two children Mathilde and Jonathan. We will soon go to attend the special Christmas service at the church and when we return back home we will enjoy the special Christmas dinner and afterward we will distribute and open all the Christmas presents. It will be a long evening and night as we take time to each present to be unwrapped and admired and thanks to be given before we move on in opening another packet. In that way we all rejoice with one another and take note of what each one receives as a present. And of cause we will also have Christmas cookies and cakes along with fruits and wonderful Indian tea.

The restored house of God
I have just
spent time the prophet Ezekiel and I have been listening to his description of
the restored house of God. The glory of God fills this house which is the place
of God’s throne and the place for the soles of his feet (Ezekiel 43:7). We are
told that the law of the house is absolute holiness (43:12) and that the
covenant people must be faithful to its design and follow all its regulations
(43:11). -
Blessed books
A few days ago I had an email from one of my new Indian friends, Adiyya Paul Revu. He had been reading some of my books and been blessed by them. Changing weather
As I live on the western coast of Norway unstable and changing weather is part of my everyday life. We have had some beautiful frosty days with a thin layer of snow covering everything. The dream of a traditional white Christmas seemed to be within reach. Today is a different story. It is mild, windy and rainy. The hope of a white Christmas vanished with the rain. But we will celebrate Christmas and rejoice in the wonder of incarnation. God with us!

The word of God is powerful
During my visit to Cuba earlier this autumn my friend Keri kept saying to me; "Look at what the word of God can do! What you see is a result of the prophetic word spoken to us!" It was awesome to see the outcome of a prophetic word and the simple obedience to that word. The whole week during our stay in Cuba my friend kept reminding me of the power in the word of God. I was very much encouraged to see with my own eyes the fulfillment of the prophetic word.

Enjoying God
I don't find sufficient words to describe the pleasure of knowing God. For more than fifty years I have been enjoying God, and I find more pleasure in God today than ever before. It is still a mystery to me that God chose to reveal his Son Jesus Christ to me enabling me to enter into a friendship relationship with God as my Father. Knowing him is eternal bliss – the highest quality of life. My life is full because of the intimate fellowship with God I am enjoying by the grace of Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit, because of the love of God.
The entire humanity was created for friendship with God. All people are designed to enjoy the presence of God. Each person on this earth is loved by God and purposed to enjoy the divine love. -
Blameless – perfect – wholehearted – willing
Yesterday we met with the covenant community in Tromsø. I had been asked to give a teaching on being wholehearted. I decided not to give teaching in the normal way. In stead we just went to the Scripture, read together some passages and had a dialogue about the content. Since we had many different versions of the Bible among us we were able to see the passages from many perspectives.

From summer to winter in one day
Last night we returned to Bergen after a long journey from Sri Lanka and India. We went from summer to winter. We went from about 30 degrees in Colombo to minus 3 degrees at home. The bed felt like an ice box. It took a long time to get warm enough to sleep. But eventually both of us had a good sleep. Today I have been heating the entire house with my fire place. When we reached 26 degrees we felt very comfortable. Tomorrow we go up north to Tromsø to visit the covenant community as well as our grandchildren, and we are told that we will have minus 10 degrees while we are there.
