Teaching in and out of the class room

The last week I was teaching and spending time with young people in Bergen Bibelskole and at the house in the forest from morning to evening. Because of that I did neglect my blog. My time was filled with the young people. I find teaching and spending time with young people very fulfilling. I like teaching in the Bible School but I prefer to sit with them in a living room, eat with them at the kitchen, work with them in the forest, fish with the in the lake, – and all the time dialogue about the Lord and his wonderful kingdom.

The class room seems to create some distance between the teacher and the students. There are ways to overcome those obstacles. I am trying my level best to engage them in dialogue and sharpen their thinking as well as helping them develop their ability to express their own opinion in a clear way. However, there is a different dynamic when you are training disciples in a more relaxed and personal environment. But in both circumstances we are totally dependant on the Holy Spirit to enlighten and bring revelations to the hearts.

The coming week I will again spend time with the students at the Bible School. I am looking forward to a wonderful time with them in the presence of God.

Me rekk det nok heller ikkje før me kjem heim att frå India!
