  • The Spirit is falling

We are now in Hyderabad and have had a wonderful time in Udaipur, Kalimpong and Bhubaneswar. Every place we have visited we have seen a powerful move of the Holy Spirit. We have been praying for people to be baptized in the Spirit in all the three places and the Spirit has been falling on the entire gathering. As good as everyone we prayed for received the baptism in the Spirit. We heard them speak in tongues and prophecy. We have been very much encouraged by seen the Lord confirm our teaching in this wonderful way.

  • Jorgi

    Jorgi is one of my
Indian friends whom I have known for many years. He is a true
evangelist. He travels widely to bring the Good News to new villages.
God is using him powerfully to bring people to Christ through signs
and wonders. Today he told me several stories of wonders he had seen
    taking place recently.

  • Prem Lama

    I met Prem Lama nearly
one year ago in Kathmandu. He stood out in the group of men he was
with. His face was shining. He had this happy and confident look
about him that true saints have. His eyes were full of life, full of
joy and expectancy. He was overflowing of a deep inner peace.

  • A fruitful week in Nepal

Yesterday we left Nepal after six blessed days with wonderful time with disciples of Jesus. We spent the first days in beautiful Pokhara and the weekend in Kathmandu. The political situation in Nepal is very unstable at the moment and we need to pray for peace and prosperity for that poor nation. The believers seem to be in good heart. We had very good reports of new people coming into the Kingdom of God.

  • Visiting Nepal and India

Today we are leaving for Nepal and India. We will be away for six weeks. This time we will visit many of our friends and spend time with them. When we land in New Delhi we will proceed directly to Kathmandu. Hopefully our friends Henry  and Gopaljee will meet us there.  We will not spend much time in Kathmandu on this visit, but go to Pokhara. I visited Pokhara in 1974 and have not been back since, so I really look forward visiting that beautiful place.

  • My mother is 90 years

We returned to our home in Bergen today after being to my native place to celebrate my mothers 90 years Birthday. Me and my sisters arranged a small party in the good home where she is staying where the nurses are looking well after her. She get tired and confused if there are too many people around at the same time so we were only 12 of us at the party. Some grandchildren will visit her the following days.

My mother is quite well physically but she is senile and has a very weak memory. She is asking the same question over and over again. But she still recognise her daughters and sons in law and knows our names.

We had a couple of  blessed hours together. We enjoyed a nice meal and I had written a song from me and my sisters to express gratefulness toward my mother and to God for such a wonderful mother, and as we were singing, tears were running down our cheeks. Our mother was sitting like a queen so sweet and beautiful, she smiled and enjoyed herself very much. She is such a warm and good mother. She loves us so much and always remember to ask about our families how we all are. She loves the Lord and from early childhood she told about Him, taught us to pray and to sing and worship Him. She loves the word of God and she is happy when we share a word from the Bible to her. I am thanking God every day she says. All four daughters and sons in law are believers.

I am so grateful for my mother what input and inheritance she has given to me, how grateful I am for my parents. My father went to be with the Lord 7 years ago, nearly 87.

My oldest sister and myself live in Bergen so we cannot see our mother so often, But on Thursday we had an unforgettable day celebrating our mother. I am so privileged having a mother like her, and my prayer is for her that she will know the Lords care, blessing and strength until He calls her home.

  • Celebrating 90 years

    Img_0562
Today we have been celebrating the 90th birthday of my mother in law. Her four daughters arranged a very successful birthday celebration. My mother in law was class mate with my own mother who died five years ago. She has become quite forgetful but is very thankful as she enjoys the moment. I have found that when I speak of the Lord to her and quotes Scriptures to her, then she becomes alive and radiant in her wrinkled face. There are lots of things that she don’t remember, but she is absolutely remembering the Lord.
I find great joy in speaking with old believers who are alive in their spirit even if their body is not functioning properly. It was a joy to celebrate my mother in law’s 90th birthday, especially since she is such a devoted believer.

  • Attending funerals

It seems like I have reached the age when I attend more funerals than weddings. This summer I have been to three funerals. The two first funerals were filled with gratitude and hope. The last one which I attended today was a kind of a strange experience to me. It was a relative of my wife that has passed away and as far as we know she was not a believer. The funeral was conducted in my old church from my childhood where I was confirmed and where I first saw a revival take place.

  • Persistant faith

The Cuban lady doctor we met in Cardiff last week was an outstanding lady of persistant faith. She told us some incredible stories of the power of God at work through her. When she started to practice medicine at the hospital she asked God to not let any of her patients die in her ward. After 30 years not a single child in her care died! A small baby girl almost died as she was seriously ill, but the doctor fasted and prayed for her, and God saved her life through a miracle.

  • A new season of the Spirit in moving in the supernatural

The elders’ conference at All Nations Church in Cardiff Wales was a wonderful success. It heralded a new season of the Spirit for many of the delegates and the covenant communities they represented. The Lord manifested his presence among us in a very real way through the ministry of the Word and through the laying on of hands.
