Yesterday we left Nepal after six blessed days with wonderful time with disciples of Jesus. We spent the first days in beautiful Pokhara and the weekend in Kathmandu. The political situation in Nepal is very unstable at the moment and we need to pray for peace and prosperity for that poor nation. The believers seem to be in good heart. We had very good reports of new people coming into the Kingdom of God.
It was very encouraging to meet with Henry and his wife Parbithra. They married only a few months back and are serving God together in the western part of Nepal. Henry loves to reach new villages with the good news of the Kingdom of God. He is walking for hours to go to new places to tell people about Jesus Christ.
In Pokhara we met with a group of 25 leaders of covenant communities. We had a good time of sharing and teaching as well of dialog and fellowship. Some of them were not baptized in the Spirit so we ministered to them, laying hands on them and praying for them to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. I think all of them were touched by the Spirit and some of them started to speak in new tongues.
In Kathmandu we spent time with Gopaljee. He is a long standing friend of mine. We met for the first time in 1971 and has been friends ever since. He is having a publishing ministry and has published plenty of books in Nepali language. We both believe in the power of the printed word as well as the spoken word. He will soon publish my book "Finding Your Place" in Nepali. We believe that this book will be a great blessing to disciples in Nepal.
