The Cuban lady doctor we met in Cardiff last week was an outstanding lady of persistant faith. She told us some incredible stories of the power of God at work through her. When she started to practice medicine at the hospital she asked God to not let any of her patients die in her ward. After 30 years not a single child in her care died! A small baby girl almost died as she was seriously ill, but the doctor fasted and prayed for her, and God saved her life through a miracle.
The daughter of this lady doctor was involved in an car accident and was seriously hurt. She went trough the front window and her face was covered with glas splints. At he hospital she had a bleeding in the brain and was paralyzed. The doctors proposed brain surgery, but the the mother who herself was a doctor knew the chances were not good so she took the daughter home from the hospital to fast and pray for her.
After three hours of fervent persistant prayer she commanded the paralyzed daugther to start walking. She raised her up by herself and “forced” her to walk in the name of Jesus Christ. The power of God came upon the daughter who was made completely well.
When I heard this testimony, I was challenged by the active and persistant faith of the mother. I want to move into that kind of “aggressive” myself and to move more powerfully in the Holy Spirit to see people delivered and set free.
