It is difficult to take in the magnitude of this disaster. The death toll is constantly increasing. Ten million people may have been effected by the earthquake and its killer wave that destroyed so many houses!

There also seems to have been given warning about this disaster in advance. My friend Zephry D’Souza writes about this in an email.

"The tsunami wave- the total death have now reached 120000!  It seems that a few people did have  prophecies  about this happening.  One of the ladies in the church  -Madhu – had a dream about this big wave coming and bringing a lot of destruction in its wake. But she did not know how to assess it."

In the light of what has happen it raises an important question on how to judge dreams, visions and prophetic utterances! I believe we have a lot of new ground to break in this area! Indeed the whole function of the gift of prophecy and the prophetic ministry we need to explore to gain more insight and greater anointing!

We have heard of entire congregations being swept away in Sri Lanka in this terrible disaster! Why didn’t they have any warnings from God? Or did they not give heed to the promptings of the Spirit? We don’t have the answers!
