We have just reached the airport in Bagdogra after a very fruitful trip to Sikkim. Silas and Jyoti have accompanied us on the entire trip which has been a long and exciting adventure!
Last night we spent in Uttarey towards the border of Nepal. It was a very pituresque green valley surrounded by the majestic mountains of the Himalayas.
The drive from Gangtok to Uttarey was most enjoyable as the scenery is bejond description in a blog. We passed through the Temi Tea Plantation which was a delight to the eyes. The tea bushes are covering the hillside as a piece of artistic patchwork. We were given the special Sikkim tea to take home. Everytime I drink that tea I will remember this wonderful sight!
When we reached Uttarey the words spread that servants of the Living God had arrived and late in the evening we had a very special gathering with these precious people. It was like a family gathering of sharing and fellowshipping. The presence of God was with us. We rejoiced in listening to the reports of the wonders of God in this area. The work of God seems to advance through signs and wonders everywhere in this hill region! A young man that used to be paralysed walked with no difficulties right in front of us. Because of that miracle many people believed in the Lord Jesus Christ!
