Today, Wednesday, 02 February 2005 we have had a miracle day! Yesterday the road towards the Tibetan was closed due to heavy snowfall. Today the road was miraculously opened! Our Sikkim friends were working hard to get us the necessary permissions to go. It took much more time than expected and we reached the checkpoint far too late, but still we were allowed to enter!
We have had a most wonderful trip to the Tsomgo Lake towards the Tibetan border. The view we were having as we climbed the Himalayan Mountains of Sikkim is absolute breathtaking. The sun was shining and warming us as well as casting its rays of delight on the peaks covered with snow.
I was surprised to find trees at the height of 12400 feet at our destination. It is amazing how God has created plants to survive in this rough environment! The majestic landscape, the beauty of the scenery of God’s creation, stood in sharp contrast to the shabby houses of the poor people living along side the narrow road.
The purpose for going to Tsomgo Lake was to pray at the Tibetan border in accordance with prophetic words. It was a day of prayer and fasting for us as we were prayer all along the way to the top and down again. At the top we had a good time of prayer and prophetic proclamation. We were blessing the governments of Tibet, China, Sikkim, Bhutan, and India with the wonderful blessings of God. We were lifting all the people groups living in this area up to the Living God, asking for his Kingdom to advance across all the borders, bringing righteousness, peace, joy, – salvation in fullness – to individuals as well as the society with all its communities.
In the near future a new border pass will be opened between India and China not far from where we were praying. Then the Chinese Christians we have a new route to send their missionaries back to Jerusalem. Likewise the Indian believers will be able to go to China with the good news of the Kingdom! The good news will go both ways!
In the evening we have had a most wonderful time of fellowship, sharing and praying together with our friends. God is so good!
