This morning I was reading in the book of prophet Jeremiah. Then I came across this expression: the gods my people have loved, served and worshiped, in 8:2. The Almighty was accusing the people of loving, serving and worshiping other gods. But these three words got stuck with me.

I realise that they summarise my relationship with the Almighty God through Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit! I love God! I love the Father, I love the Son and I love the Holy Spirit. Because of God’s love for me, I am able to love him! Because of love I have dedicated my life to God and committed myself into his service. Actually I love to serve God! My entire life is an act of worship as I love and serve the Triune God, the only true God!

I realise that the Christian life is all about loving, serving and worshiping God! My entire life is involved and my very existence revolve around this. To love, serve and worship God is the only meaningful life!

God used the prophet Jeremiah to warn the Jewish people of the coming judgment, and the used the same prophet to help me understand the centre of my life!
