At the Bible School I have been teaching on the ministry of the prophets, how they receive their message from God and how they deliver it. They are communicators of divine truth and revealers of divine life.

Still the common understanding of the prophets is that they are not the best communicators because they are seen as not diplomatic nor sensitive to human feelings. Often people say they are offended by the way a message is communicated. This seems to be a way to shift the focus from what they have to do with the message to how the prophet needs to change his way of communication the word of the Lord.

Communication is a very difficult thing. Often we forget to find out how what we say is being understood or received by those we try to communicate with. Therefore we may believe that we have been clear and said what we wanted to say, not knowing that the impression we have left with people is different from what we wanted to communicate.

Communication is an art I have been trying to learn all my life, but constantly I find myself being misunderstood. I have been learning and learning to communicate and to understand people, but I all to often fall short.

One day we will fully understand everything, as communication will be all love, and we will be fully understood!
