When Wolfgang Simson visited Bergen he told us how he as a young student of theology opened his home and started a church. Together with his friends lots of evangelism were being done. After some time with a lot of labour and little fruit they discovered that praying five minutes before distributing 500 tracts was less effective than praying five hours before distributing five tracts to the right people. In this process they were asking God to do.

One day a new believer read Acts 4:28-32 and suggested, "Let us ask God to do what only he can do. Then people will ask questions that only have one answer, Jesus!"

Through this they learnt that they needed the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit to meet the right people, those who had been prepared by the Spirit and therefore was ripe for harvest! They discovered that there is a spiritual ministry that is not dependent on human abilities or resources, but only on the power of God through the Holy Spirit.

God spoke to them through Jeremiah 33:3: "Ask me and I will tell you some remarkable secrets you have never heard before." They started to ask God to do things in them and through them that they didn’t understand. In fact they realized that they had to surrender themselves and their entire life to God in a new way. They had to give up the control of their life.

I gave up control of my life. I surrendered my intellect, my human reasoning, and started to trust God in a new way! That was the beginning of a Spirit led life! Now I live by inspiration by the Spirit and not by human information.

The knowledge and information society is giving way to the age of inspiration. The future belongs to the community of the Spirit. If we trust the Lord with all our heart, and don’t depend on our own understanding, but seek his will in all we do, then he will supernaturally direct us to success (See Proverbs 3:5-6). When we give up control, we will be able to be "online" to heaven and be able to download direction, insight and understanding from the Holy Spirit in any situation!

Most Christians in the West are so information based that they don’t understand what is going on in the spiritual realms. Often people in the world are more switched on to the spiritual realities than people in the church! Spiritual people, those who are inspired by the Spirit, those who listen to the Spirit, are proactive and prophetic in their approach to life. Those who are not inspired, but live by head knowledge and human information, are reactive in their encounter with the changing challenges of life!

When we give up our ways of doing things, our proven methods, and just do the "foolish" things God wants us to do in any given situation, God will release his power and give us a great harvest! Jesus spoke most of all about the Kingdom of God, about an invasion of the authority or government of God in the society, in the world, – in people’s personal lives! To be led by the Spirit is to be govern by God, to hear the words that are proceeding from the Throne of God.

If we dare to do the "foolish" things, then God will do the impossible things! In this Age of the Spirit, this age of inspiration, the key to success is to give up the right to have control, – to give up the right to explain everything logical. This is a life of trust in God. We will do what look foolish when God wants us to do it. Then we will see his power manifested in the impossible situations. A life of inspiration is based on trust!

Do you understand how this world will be won for Jesus Christ? Do you understand how your nation will bow to the Lordship of Christ? No, I must admit I do not understand! But I trust Jesus Christ to make it happen! I trust the Holy Spirit to use even me to see it come to pass. I trust the Almighty God, the Creator of heaven and earth, will accomplish his wonderful purpose for the entire universe!

I am changing operation system! I am ready for a new way of life by the Spirit! I am not part of the Matrix of the world. I am part of Zion. I belong to the covenant community of the Spirit. I am a son and a seed of the Kingdom! The harvest is plentiful!
