I am so excited about what God is doing among us these days. The church in Bergen and the network of churches that we are a part of are entering into a new season of the Spirit. A new day is dawning in a new season in the entire apostolic work.
At the worship service on Sunday morning God clearly spoke to us through his Word and through his Spirit of a new season of the Spirit. Personally I saw a vision of lots of naked trees, like we can see at the end of the winter season. The trees were not dead. They were full of dormant life on the inside but that was hidden for the eyes. The trees had been through a season of rest and consolidation.
Then the scenery changed. I could see trees budding, sprouting, becoming green as new leaves unfolded themselves. These trees brought forth new leaves in an endless variation of fresh green colours. Each tree had its own special fresh colour of green, and together the nuances of green leaves formed a wonderful carpet, an extraordinary harmony of variation of fresh green. I saw the trees, that looked naked and separated in the first place, being clothed in a freshness of life making then one in multiple expressions of unity.
The new life and the fresh expressions of life came because of the new season. The cold winter was over and the gracious spring sun caused new leaves to come forth. The warm weather caused the roots to bring the sap of life to every branch and the smallest twig of the trees. Because of the new season the hidden life of the trees came to visible expressions in a manifold variation of fresh green colours.
God is creating a thirst for him among us. He is making us hungry for more of the Spirit. There is a spiritual longing being birthed in the hearts of the people of God in these days. Young people are seeing visions and old people are dreaming. The Spirit of God is moving among us in new ways. The Word of God is coming alive in fresh insight and deep revelation of Christ in us, the hope of glory.
This is a season of seeing visions fulfilled. It is a season of seeing dreams come true. It is a season of having our thirst for God quenched by the new infilling of the Spirit. It is a season of moving from longing into the new experience of the reality of the Spirit in our life.
Every longing born in us by the Spirit will turn into reality. Every vision of the Spirit will turn in to visible reality. Every dream given us by the Spirit will be transformed into touchable reality. Every thirst for more of God will be met by drinking of the Spirit which will take us into a new God-reality in our every day walk in life.
A new season of the Spirit has arrived!
Anyone who is willing to hear should listen to the Spirit and understand what the Spirit is saying to the churches.
