Today I celebrate five years of blogging by posting my first post on Blogspot and then I add some meditations on being a blogger.
To be somebody
is to take small and big jumps
into the unknown territory
safely walking in faith
confidently trusting the Beginning and the End
to guide and carry me
through the deep waters
over the high mountains of human limitations
to soar to new horizons
to lay down and dream in a lush meadow
to create my first blog
Blogging has been my hobby for the last five years. It has been something I have been doing mainly on my free-time as a leisure activity. It has been very enjoyable and fulfilling. It has given me many new friends all over the world and enabled me to dialog with a lot of people. The comments and feedback have been very encouraging and stimulating.
Blogging has been a way of seeing prophetic words fulfilled. It has been a way of cultivating my ability to write. It has helped me to develop this gift of writing given me by God. It has enabled me to share my observations and meditations with the world wide community of pilgrims. It has enabled me to publish the good news of the Kingdom of God.
Blogging has been a way of being myself to a larger community than that restricted by geography and time. Blogging has helped me to transcend borders and limitations. I have entered into a larger world because of my blogging. And I myself has been enlarged.
Some people say that blogging is out or fading away. I don’t think so. The world is yet to see the blogging community blossoming, maturing and reaching new heights. Self-publishing, self-expression, sharing, commenting, interacting, making new friends, will increase in the days ahead. Blogging will develop into something basic and essential to the majority of the growing population connected to Internet.
I was asked by a friend recently if I considered stopping blogging. Confidently I could declare: I am not quitting. I am in for the long run. Blogging is part of my ever overflowing life!
I expect changes to take place. I hope to develop my blog for the better. I like to break new ground. I trust God to give me many more years in his ministry. I trust God to fulfill the good work he has started in me. I trust God that Christ will become more and more visible in my life. I trust the Spirit of the Living God to fill my blog with refreshing insight and blessing. May this blog become a prophetic voice of down to earth lived life in the covenant community.
