In Kathmandu we met with many covenant friends and Prem Lama stands out among them. He is different in many ways. First of all he has only one leg and need big crutches to walk. But he doesn't seem to have any handicap at all. He could even dance on the one leg! He is full of faith and optimism. He is active. He is constantly reaching out to others. He is confident and he is even playing a guitar that according to my wife needed to be tuned!

Prem Lama is a disciple of Jesus. He came to Christ through one of our friends a few years ago. Today he is leading a growing church in the city of Hetouda. In three years he has seen about 300 people come to Christ. Recently he was invited to preach at a healing meeting arranged by five churches as a joint outreach. In that meeting God used him powerfully and performed many miracles. He has seen blind people receive sight, paralyzed people walk, and many other healings take place.

As a church planter and disciple maker Prem Lama is an outstanding representative for the new generation of followers of Jesus in Nepal. In spite of the many challenges he is facing he is seeing the possibilities and seizing the moment. It is a great joy to know people like Prem Lama and be able to count him a friend.
