At the early prayer meeting with the leaders of the covenant community in Bergen today we had a very good time of prayer and prophetic ministry.At the end of the gathering a very good believer came to share a dream with us as the leaders of this community. I was full of expectations as I was told that this believer would come and share a dream with us. However as the dream was told my heart sank. The dream was rather grotesque, and I wondered if it could be a message from God at all. After sharing the dream the person gave the interpretation of the dream.

The message of the interpretation was ok, but it was difficult to see the connection with the grotesque dream. I thought it would have been better to have shared the message of the interpretation only as that would have been easier to receive without hearing the dream! The only thing we could do this morning was to thank the person for sharing the message with us and to express our agreement with it.
However, this incident highlighted to me the need of teaching on interpreting dreams and sharing with others what God is speaking through a dream. I really want to get more insight into how  to handle dreams and their interpretations when shared in the covenant community. I would think the Bible gives us some guidelines on how to interpret dreams.
I would like to have some feedback from friends on this subject.
