Today we have been together with about sixty leaders from all over India. These people are living under very difficult circumstances, very different from from our situation at home. Several of them have been facing persecution because of their faith and all of them have gone through many hardships as followers of Jesus Christ. Together we have been looking at the first chapter of the book of Daniel. This book is very relevant for the covenant community in India. The main message of the book of Daniel is simply that God is in control, even when you find yourself a prisoner robbed of all your civil rights.

Or when your plane break down and you are not able to reach a destination in time. That happened to our friends Keri and Carol Jones in Bhutan. Yesterday I received the text message from Zephry that Keri and Carol were stranded in Bhutan because their plane broke down. I was happy to receive the message that the plane broke down while on the ground and not while in the air with our friends. Then I thought that God probably had some more work for them to do in Bhutan since he kept them there for one more day! God is in control of every detail in our lives.
Keri and Carol have now arrived in New Dehli and will arrive in Jaipur later this evening. We are looking forward seeing them and taking part in their ministry.
We have had a wonderful day in the presence of God. We have been able to dialog og to share insight with one another from the first chapter of the book of Daniel. In this chapter there are so many comforting truths on how God is in control and can turn any difficult situation into something good.
